$199 16GB New iPod Touch Launched, Other Models Are Now Cheaper

Earlier today we heard a rumor that Apple would be launching a new cheaper 16GB iPod Touch, the device was supposed to launch next week, but Apple has just made it official.

The new entry level 16GB  iPod Touch comes with the same features as the 32GB and 64 GB models, it retails for $199 and comes with a rear facing 5 megapixel camera, the previous 16GB model did not have a rear camera.

Nokia XL Launched In The Middle East And Asia

Nokia announced the Nokia XL and Nokia X back in February, the devices were Nokia’s first Android smartphones, and now the the Nokia XL has been launched in the Middle East and Asia.

The Nokia XL retails for the equivalent of $265 in the Middle East and Asia, and whilst the handset comes with the Nokia branding, it is essentially a Microsoft device, as Microsoft now owns Nokia’s mobile phone division.

ZTE Blade L2 Launched In Europe

ZTE has announced the launch of the ZTE Blade L2 in Europe, the handset is now available in Spain and Greece, and ZTE also has plans to launch it in other countries later in the year.

Hardware wise, the ZTE Blade L2 comes with a 5 inch FWVGA display that has a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels, processing comes in the form of a quad core processor with a clock speed of 1.3GHz.

There have been a number of rumors that the Sony Xperia A2 was Japan’s version of the Sony Xperia Z2 Compact, well it turns out that the Xperia A2 is just a refreshed version of the Xperia Z1 compact, and not a completely new device.
