We have been hearing rumors for some time that the Google Nexus devices which include smartphone and tablets are going to be replaced by Android Silver devices.
And now Google’s David Burke, who is head of Android Engineering at the Google Nexus program has confirmed that Nexus devices are here to stay.
Earlier today we heard a rumor that Apple would be launching a new cheaper 16GB iPod Touch, the device was supposed to launch next week, but Apple has just made it official.
The new entry level 16GBÂ iPod Touch comes with the same features as the 32GB and 64 GB models, it retails for $199 and comes with a rear facing 5 megapixel camera, the previous 16GB model did not have a rear camera.
The price of budget smartphones has fallen considerably over the last twelve months, whilst high end devices prices have remained pretty much the same, and it looks like we will see a $20 smartphone this year.
