Apple are expected to launch two versions of their iPhone 6 later this year, one with a 4.7 inch display, the other with a 5.5 inch display, we previously thought the two devices would feature the same hardware.
According to a recent report, the two iPhone 6 models will come with different specifications, and the 5.5 inch model is said to come with a different camera and more storage than the 4.7 inch model.
We previously heard that the new iPhone would come with a new camera that would feature Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS), it looks like this may end up in the 4.7 inch model, and the 5.5 inch model will apparently get a more advanced camera.
The news comes from Chinese website Feng (Translated), who have said that the 5.5 inch models of Apple’s new iPhone will feature a new camera with Optical Image Stabilization, the device is also rumored to come with a range of storage options which will include a 128GB option.
The rest of the specifications on the two devices are expected to be the same, both models will be powered by a new 64-bit Apple 8 processor and will come with more RAM.
There have been various rumors about the display resolution on the new iPhone 6, and we have heard conflicting rumors that the iPhone 6 would come with a 1704 x 960 resolution of a 2560 x 1440 resolution. As the two devices are rumored to come with slightly different specifications, we wonder if they will feature different display resolutions.
It is possible that the iPhone 6 with a 4.7 inch diaplay could have a resolution of 1704 x 960 pixels, and the larger iPhone 6, with a 5.5 inch display could feature a Quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.
