Dr Dre And Jimmy Iovine To Appear At Apple WWDC 2014

Apple has yet to officially confirm its purchase of Beats Audio for $3.2 billion, although Dr Dre confirmed the deal online last week, in a video which has now been removed, the deal is expected to be announced at the Apple WWDC 2014 conference.

Yesterday we heard that both co-founder of Beats Audio, Dr Dre and Jimmy Iovine would be joining Apple in senior roles, and now according to a recent report, the two will appear at Apple WWDC 2014.

We also heard yesterday that the main reason that Apple wanted to acquire Beats was to do with the company’s music streaming service, Beats Audio.

Apple were apparently impressed at the rate Beats were converting their free subscribers to paid subscribers, this does not mean that the Beats Audio hardware will be done away with.

Apple are expected to continue to produce the Beats Audio headphones when they take control of Beats, although it is not clear if the company will be run separately under the Beats brand for the hardware.
